Three versions of the questionnaires by age groups

Each of the three versions of the questionnaires are adjusted to take into account the age of the children being surveyed in terms of the total number of questions included and the wording and format of the individual questions. Because children of different ages typically differ with respect to the length of time for which they can concentrate, the version for children aged 8 is the shortest, following by the version for children aged 10. The version for children aged 12 contains the largest number of items. In addition, in the 8-years-old version, a scale of emoticons is used for the agreement items, and the satisfaction items are phrased in term of happiness (‘How happy you feel with...’). Previous pilots of the questionnaire showed better results using these methods with this youngest age group.
