Findings from the first wave of data collection from Brazil, Chile, and Spain were presented at a two-days Symposium “Advances in the study of welfare and quality of life in childhood” (Avances en el estudio del Bienestar y la Calidad de Vida en la Infancia) in Santiago de Chile, organized by the Universidad del Desarrollo and Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
Dr. Jaime Alfaro and Dr. Juan Carlos Oyanedel presented the findings of the survey conducted among 2,572 children in 2012 in two Metropolitan in Chile. In their keynotes presentations Dr. Ferran Casas (Spain) and Dr. Jorge Castellá Sarriera (Brazil) shared their experiences and discussed the possible contribution of the Chilean survey to the children in Chile.
Discussions were held with the participation of government officials, NGOs and researchers.
